United States President Barack Obama on Monday congratulated Hamid Karzai on his re-election as the president of Afghanistan and asked him to improve governance, besides eradicating corruption.

He will support Obama's innovation strategy by helping develop policies that foster entrepreneurship, create jobs and drive economic growth.
